- It has been reported that on Sunday 11th November Libya changed their entry requirements to necessitate all travellers entering or exiting the country to have an Arabic transcript of their passport details.
The translation must be presented on a blank page attached to their passport and must contain the translation of all details of the passport photo page (name, date of birth, expiry and place of issue etc.)
Any passenger travelling without this translation will be refused entry, effective immediately.
For clients planning to travel to Libya we would advise contacting the Libyan Embassy for clarification before travelling.
- The Zambian Immigration Department has withdrawn the "Visa Waiver" facility-previously available for travellers with prebooked hotels or tours with immediate effect. Now all travellers that require a visa will have to pay a fee (note that Irish passport holders do not need a visa for Zambia and therefore no fee will apply).
The cost of visa fees has also risen considerably and for British passports are as follows:
Single Entry £75 ($140) Multiple Entry £240 ($442)
We recommend clients obtain their visa through our Visa Service in advance, which will take approx 5 working days from receipt of the passport. Alternatively visas can be obtained at the port of entry subject to delay paying the equivalent fee in US$ (;see above). Payment must be made in US$ bank notes only, of the exact amount. Pre-1995 US$ notes are not accepted.
- Trailfinders now offer a visa service for RUSSIAN visas. Return to the homepage to download further information and an application form.
- Under existing U.S. law, British passports issued on or after October 26, 2006 must contain biometric identifiers and digitally printed pictures in order to qualify the bearer for visa-free travel on the Visa Waiver Program. Passports issued prior to October 26, 2006 are not affected by this deadline and continue to qualify the bearer for visa-free travel, so long as the passport is machine-readable. Passports issued on or after October 26, 2006, and which do not contain biometric identifiers, will fail to qualify the bearer for visa-free travel. Currently all British Citizen passports comply with the above regulations. Please check the link Entry to the USA for a list of inclusions and exclusions of the Visa Waiver Program.
