Australian Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) - Short Stay Visa

The Australian Government operates an electronic visa system open to those travelling on participating carriers and holding a passport of one of the following nations: UK-(BRITISH CITIZEN), IRELAND, ANDORRA, AUSTRIA, BELGIUM, BRUNEI, CANADA, DENMARK, FINLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, GREECE, HONG KONG, ICELAND, ITALY, JAPAN, LIECHTENSTEIN, LUXEMBOURG, MALAYSIA, MALTA, MONACO, NETHERLANDS, NORWAY, PORTUGAL, SINGAPORE, SOUTH KOREA, SPAIN, SWEDEN, SWITZERLAND, UNITED STATES, THE VATICAN CITY.

Business ETAs are available to travellers visiting Australia to undertake meetings, conferences, exhibitions, technical training and such like activities. Employment is prohibited.

Clients holding passports endorsed BRITISH SUBJECT, OVERSEAS CITIZENS or those with criminal records cannot apply and should contact Trailfinders Visa Service on 0845 050 5905 for advice.

Passport

We do not need to see your passport to process the visa. Please have your passport and credit/debit card to hand in order to complete this online application. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended journey to Australia.

Validity

For Tourist and Business ETAs you must enter Australia within 1 year from date of issue; multiple visits are permitted for a maximum stay of 3 months per visit.

Confirmation

As the visa is electronic you will not be given a stamp in your passport, however Trailfinders will provide written confirmation by email.
